Description

As a Business Systems Analyst (BSA), you will be responsible for translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements aligned with business objectives. As a member of the agile development team, you will leverage the knowledge and expertise of your team. Insights gained through continuous engagement with business stakeholders, your development team, and other analyst combined with your own analysis will ensure the delivery of fit-for-purpose solutions that maximize value while minimizing impact. You will validate that the final solution meets both business goals and user expectations, driving successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Understand Business Needs: Analyse and gain a deep understanding of business needs as they relate to potential changes or transformations, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Advise on Optimal Solutions: Serve as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, providing guidance on the best outcomes for specific business problems or initiatives, based on thorough analysis
  • Facilitate Collaboration: Lead and facilitate group workshops and meetings to gather insights, refine requirements, and foster collaboration between business stakeholders, development teams, and analysts
  • Bridge the Gap Between Technical and Non-Technical Teams: Clearly explain technical concepts and jargon to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that all team members and business units can easily understand requirements and proposed solutions
  • Gather and Document Requirements: Identify, capture, and document clear, actionable business and system requirements, ensuring that they are well-defined, comprehensive, and aligned with business objectives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Certification in Business Analysis ( CBAP, CCBA, or equivalent) is an advantage
  • Agile/Scrum Certification ( Certified ScrumMaster, PMI-ACP, or similar) is an advantage, particularly in agile environments
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a similar role
  • Experience in the Financial Services Industry or other relevant sectors (healthcare, technology, etc) is highly desirable
